V'Nevian MacLeod Silvertip was born in France on 12. March 2004. Her father is double World Champion Loch MacLeod. I didn't like Border Collies very much until I met the dogs of Christine Charpentier. They were very calm in normal life, but very fast, agile and eager on the agility field. Because of Giovanni, I had to buy a female puppy. Nevian was the only one girl in the litter, with short hair. I prefer short hair Borders! She's the present of God, she's the perfect Border Collie for me! Nevian is the name of the village where she was born, I asked Christine to give her this name.
I began to play with her on the agility field when she was 9 or 10 weeks old. The bars laid on the ground, but we made difficult combinations very early. I think it helps the dog to make tight turns during his whole life. Agility is easy with a puppy: he does what you show and he's not faster than you!
My trainer, Ildikó introduced the slalom to Nevian. (I had a little bit phobia of the slalom entry. Giovanni run in A3, but he never learnt to enter the slalom without help.) We didn't use V-slalom nor wires. We used the 12-slalom from the first and Ildikó was showing the poles with her hand. I took the dog, she showed the correct entry and we made it from different angles right away.
